Tape-In Hair Extensions in Las Vegas

We apply tape-in hair extensions in Las Vegas as our second method, alongside microbeads. Tape-ins are thin wefts of 100% human Remy hair, pressed together on either side of a fine section of your own hair. They go in fast, they add a lot of density, and they cost less than beads. They also have real limits, so here is an honest comparison to help you choose.

Photos first, please: for any extensions service we ask for photos before booking, so we can give you a thorough consultation. Front and back photos work best, showing your hair in its natural texture (not brushed straight or curled with hot tools), plus the look you want if you have one. Upload them on our Contact page or simply text them to (702) 449-8429.

Tape-In Hair Extensions in Las Vegas: Who They Suit

Tape method has three advantages:

  • Fast application, though maintenance takes about as long as beads.
  • Higher density than beads in the same area, so they are a good solution for thicker hair.
  • More affordable than individual strands.

How We Apply Tape-Ins

Placing the lower tape weft under a thin one-inch section of hair
1. Separate a thin 1″ section and place the lower weft underneath.
Pressing the section of hair onto the lower tape weft
2. Press the section of your hair onto the weft.
Applying the upper tape weft on top
3. Apply the upper weft and press the two tightly together.

4. The tab, a sandwich of two wefts, lies flat with no tension.
Tape-in tabs placed in an offset brick pattern
5. A brick-lay (offset) pattern prevents vertical splits.
Single tape wefts used near the top layer
6. Single wefts on the top layer are thinner and less visible.

Done Right: Re-Taping, Not Stacking

Maintaining tape extensions is messier than beads: it usually takes alcohol and oil-based mist removers, and hair can be left with residue and sticky strands. The proper way is to remove the used sticker inserts and replace them with new ones. Unfortunately, some places apply new inserts directly onto the old ones, which causes sliding and slippage. We always re-tape.

The wefts are full-cuticle, 100% human Remy hair; read more about our European Remy hair.

What a Tape-In Client Says

★★★★★

I found Paul on Yelp and he responded to my message regarding tape in extensions nearly immediately. He was eager to help me and transform my hair and was able to fit me in that day as he had my desired extensions in stock. He completely transformed my hair even better than I could have asked for. Throughout the color and tape in process he explained each step and made great conversation on. I went back yesterday to adjust my tape ins and for highlights. It was just like seeing an old friend as we chatted through the whole process once more and once again he completely changed my hair into a masterpiece. I could not be luckier then to have Paul as my hair stylist!!!

Tape-In FAQ

Are tape-in extensions reusable?

Yes, for their lifespan. At each maintenance visit the tabs are removed, the used sticker inserts are replaced with new ones and the tabs go back in. Most tape extensions last around 6 months.

How often do tape-ins need maintenance?

Within 6 weeks. Left longer, tabs can twist as your hair grows and start to damage it.

Can I wear a high ponytail with tape-ins?

It’s their main limit: tape wefts can’t be elevated a full 180° for updos the way individual strands can. If high ponytails and updos matter to you, microbeads are the better fit.

How much do tape-in extensions cost?

They’re priced per consultation and are generally more affordable than beads. Send front and back photos through our contact page for a quote.
